Alif Nurfakhri Muhammad (Alif) joined the center in 2016 during his 3rd year of Bachelor of Law as an intern. He previously held the office of the National Rover Council of Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia as a representative of DKI Jakarta from 2013 to 2016. He graduated from Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia in 2018 focusing on International Law as his preferred subject, after writing his thesis on the Usage of Non-Nuclear Weapon in Space. He is currently pursuing his Master of Law degree in Air and Space Law at Universiteit Leiden. In 2016 – 2017 he was closely engaged on Law of the Sea researches in one of the research cluster within the center, the Research Cluster on Sustainable Ocean Policy (now Center for Sustainable Ocean Policy UI) under the guidance of Prof. Melda Kamil Ariadno. Among his research interests are Air and Space Law, Aviation Law, Transnational Organized Crimes, and various aspects of Public International Law.
Researcher: Aristyo Rizka Darmawan
Aristyo Rizka Darmawan is an Indonesian legal Academics and junior lecture of International Law at Universitas Indonesia. He received Bachelor of Law LL.B majoring in International Law from Universitas Indonesia and Master of Laws LL.M from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Aristyo also work as the executive secretary of Center for Sustainable Ocean Policy (CSOP) where he does involved in numerous consultancy and research work for the Indonesian Government and NGO’s such as; The Indonesian Coast Guard, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Oxfam Foundation. He has also involved as a project assistant for the Indonesian Presidential Task Force for Combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing (IUUF). His research interest lies in the intersection of Public International Law, Third World Approach to International Law, Law of the Sea and Law and Development.
Researcher: Rizky Banyualam Permana
Rizky Banyualam Permana (Banyu) joined the Centre of International Law Studies since January 2017. Prior to association with CILS, he was editorial and research assistant at the Djokosoetono Research Center of the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia (DRC-FHUI), and has assisted various research projects within the faculty. He graduated from Universitas Indonesia in 2016 with specialisation on transnational law. Obtained Bachelor of Laws degree from Universitas Indonesia in 2016 and LL.M. from Maastricht University, the Netherlands specialising international trade and investment law in 2019. His area of interests includes public international law, international trade law, international investment law, and ASEAN Economic Community issues.
Tanita is an aspiring legal scholar and researcher. She received her bachelor degree from Universitas Indonesia in 2015 and her LL.M in international law from Cambridge University, as a Jardine scholar. As a student there, Tanita was selected as one of the team members to conduct legal, social and political research in Palestine and produced the first academic podcast for the Cambridge law faculty. Before joining CILS UI in 2019, Tanita was a legal consultant and has also conducted various research projects for Indonesian ambassador on the South China Sea, the Indonesian National Armed Force (TNI) on U.S.-China Trade War, and others. Her interest revolves around the history of international law, politics of international law, armed- conflict and humanitarian law, as well as human rights. She continues to produced her English podcast on Indonesian politics and culture called Indonesia In-depth.
Researcher: Metha Ramadita
Metha Ramadita is junior lecturer of Department of International Law at Univeristas Indonesia. She received her Bachelor of Law LL.B and Master of Law LL.M from Universitas Indonesia. She also works as researcher at Djokosoetono Research Center, Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. She has involved in numerous of project within goverment or private sector, such as . Her area of interest includes public international law, international bussiness law, and intellectual property law.
Researcher: Fadia Idzna
Fadia Idzna is a research assistant on Centre of International Law Studies since January 2019. She is also an editorial staff for Indonesian Journal of International Law. In 2016, she earned bachelor of law degree from Diponegoro University, Semarang with specialisation on public international law. Currently, She is enrolled in master’s programme of Universitas Indonesia for transnational law. She has been involved in several researches in the field of law. Public international law is the main interest of her, with international environmental law, law of the sea, international human rights law are included.
Researcher: Salsabila Surtiwa
Salsabila Siliwangi Surtiwa is a research intern at the Center for International Law Studies. She previously served as a legal fellow at Justice Without Borders and was involved in the Conference of Indonesian Diaspora Youth 2018 as a member of the drafting committee. She also took up the role of Deputy Head of the Journalism Bureau at Lembaga Kajian Keilmuan (LK2) FHUI in 2018, after formerly serving as a staff in the previous year. Her research interests include Public International Law, Adat Law, as well as Law, Society and Development.
Researcher: Aulia Fajar
Aulia Fajar (Fajar) is currently a student intern at Center for International Law Studies (CILS). He began his studies in the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia since 2016, and has been focusing on the field of Public International Law. Prior to this, Fajar has been an active member of the international student organization Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA), serving as the Manager of Internal Public Relations division of Local Chapter Universitas Indonesia for Board of 2018.
Researcher: Muhammad Yodha Adipradana
Muhammad Yodha Adipradana (Yodha) is a student at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia, and is currently an intern at the Center for International Law Studies. Yodha have been studying at Universitas Indonesia since 2016 and is focusing on international law. He was an active member of Asian Law Students’ Association (ALSA) Local Chapter Universitas Indonesia from 2016-2018, at first as staff of the English Development Division and later on as the Coordinator on Internal Events and Competitions Preparations of the same division.
Researcher: Amanda Prasetya
Amanda Prasetya took part in the Centre of International Law Studies since 2019. She is an undergraduate student in Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. Amanda is actively engaged in the faculty such as being a staff of Career Development Department of the Student Executive Body (BEM) FH UI and a research staff of Intellectual Property and Technology in Business Law Society. Aside from that, she is also involved in Gerakan Mengajar Muda (Garuda). She is passionate in international commercial law and global issues, especially in the social-entrepreneur scope.
Researcher: Talitha Marie Imomirara
Talitha Marie Imomirara (Rara) became a part of the Centre for International Law Studies in 2019. She is a second-year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia. She is currently a staff of the Legal Research and Strategic Action Departement of the Student Executive Body (BEM) FH UI in which she has assisted in making researches on several issues such as free speech, forced eviction, and sexual violence. She is also an intern at TuK Indonesia, having helped in doing research on sustainable funding in palm cultivation sector. She has a deep interest in gender and sexuality issues and international human rights law.

Rafie haristio putra is an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Law Universitas Indonesia. He actively participate in many university activity. He served as an intern for Indonesian Parliament Legislative Body (BALEG DPR) and currently serves as research intern at Center for International Law Studies.

Christian Jeremia Gultom is an undergraduate student of Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia. He majors in Private International Law. He currently sevres as a research intern at Center for International Law. His interests include Corporate Law and International Trade Law.
Researcher: Dewo Baskoro
Dewo Baskoro started his career as a lawyer in VDB-Loi tax and legal consultant association even before his graduation from Faculty of Law at University of Indonesia in 2017 with Constitutional Law as his major. His junior thesis, “A Study of Emergency Constitutional Law in Indonesia: The Executive Power in relation to State of Emergency,” was a combination of legal, historical, and philosophical approach to the Constitution. Experienced in Foreign Direct Investment law and dealing with international clients, he decided to change his career path and join the center as a researcher.
